Lynne O'Hara is the president and executive director of the Special Hope Foundation, a family foundation with a mission to promote the establishment of comprehensive health care services for adults with developmental disabilities designed to address their unique and fundamental needs. She is a member of the Disability Funders Network and Association of Small Foundations, where she has presented on strengthening organizational infrastructure. In addition, she has played an active role in the community through her work with Urban Ministries in Palo Alto and Hope for Kids in the San Francisco Bay Area.
